2026 Season Update

Welcome to the 2026 season.

Buy-In

We had 10 responses for the buy-in vote. Here is the full breakdown:

The buy-in will remain $50.

Weekly Parlay

The $5 weekly parlay will continue.

There were two additional ideas in that section worth bringing up as well:

  1. Limiting the parlay to around four legs. I have an idea for how we can do this and will implement it as the season gets going.
  2. Adding a physical trophy or another champion's reward. This is also something we can explore if there is enough interest. I have some ideas, but I will take care of this later. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to text me.

Compensatory Picks

The trade incentive did what it was supposed to do. We had more activity, and a lot more trades got done.

For this year, a manager receives one compensatory pick at the end of Round 3 for completing a qualifying trade. A manager can only receive one comp pick, even if they completed multiple trades.

For transparency, I reviewed every completed trade between August 28, 2025 and July 18, 2026. I looked for real deals involving meaningful players, picks, or assets. No trades in that window were removed as insubstantial.

Below are the managers who earned a pick, listed in order of their first qualifying trade:

  1. September 16, 2025: jmobilestan
  2. September 16, 2025: CyperionJames
  3. October 2, 2025: metthew
  4. October 2, 2025: zantwan
  5. October 2, 2025: brunettedon
  6. October 2, 2025: adeaton
  7. October 4, 2025: achitale
  8. October 4, 2025: peterwei
  9. November 5, 2025: GriffiePrime

There were later trades involving some of these managers, but they do not create additional comp picks because each team is capped at one. Without that cap, there would be too many comp picks to keep the draft balanced.

The incentive worked, but with nine teams receiving a pick, I will need to change the structure next year. The goal will still be to reward activity and create more trades, but the 2027 version needs to be more sustainable and more selective. I will share the updated criteria before next season so everyone knows exactly how it works.

Go Lions.
